Reading Critically Writing Well, 11th edition Chapter Ten: Proposal to Solve a Problem. Pages 453-465 (A Guide to Writing Essays, Revising Your Draft) has tools you need to succeed.
Produce: A Proposal to Solve a Problem Using RCC Resources Essay (introduction with thesis statement, body paragraphs to support your points, conclusion, Works Cited) in MLA format.
Why am I asking you to use RCC Resources to identify and solve a problem? Good question! This helps underscore that every service, every department, every person you work with in college is there to solve a problem you may face in college. For example, the Career Center exists because a problem students face is trouble finding a job.
You are required to reference a minimum of three sources in your essay. A resource found on the website would count as a source. Remember, you are responsible for providing only credible and reliable sources to your work. If you have questions about either of these qualities in your source, be sure to talk to me.
Word count target is 1250, not including in-text quotes and “Works Cited” page.
Write a Proposal to Solve a Problem Essay
Start here, campus resources for students (Links to an external site.)
Identify a problem you can solve (does not have to 100% solve problem) with one of the linked resources (Links to an external site.)or departments or any resource found elsewhere at Riverside City College. If after looking through these options you are still undecided, I strongly recommend you write a paper about the problems addressed and solved by the RCC Promise Program. (Links to an external site.) Read the five steps below. Then go to the Promise Program page and use it to help you complete the steps. Still doesn’t make sense? Call me for a quick chat and you will be good to go I promise, 951-707-7879.
For example, “Financial Aid” would have links to solve problems related to paying for classes, or books, or figuring out loans and grants, or a host of benefits.
Your final product engages all three habits of mind as discussed in this course.
For full credit consideration, your paper’s organization should follow this 5 step process
STEP 1: Describe the problem. Use a problem you’ve experienced or someone you know since starting at RCC. Another approach – Look at any of the resources on the page and ask this research question: What problem does this resource solve (or try to solve)?
STEP 2: Identify a cause or causes of the problem. Consider immediate and deeper causes.
STEP 3: Consider alternatives to solve the problem.
STEP 4: Choose one solution to propose, describe how it works. This would be the online resource you’ve identified. You can have more than one resource here but be sure you stick to ONE problem. Description of your solution could include, at a minimum: how to implement, how long it would take, who would be involved in a solution, who it affects. Many of the resources explain and include much of this. STEP FOUR IS WHERE YOU SHOULD BE WRITING THE MOST.
STEP 5: Close the loop! Describe the follow up in terms of how a person would know the solution proposed is working. Consider what kind of metrics make sense (another word for metric could be criteria – see your work in Evaluation Essay) and be sure to describe that in your essay. Another research question to ask here: How is the college measuring the impact of this solution?
An “A” level paper must contain a clear thesis statement. The thesis statement must appear in your introduction. Crafting a working thesis prior to the first draft is recommended. Your thesis will announce the subject, your point of view on the subject, and the criteria on which you will judge the subject. How to do this for your paper can be found on page 459, Formulating a working thesis.

Frequently asked questions

How soon can I get my paper done?
It depends with your deadline. If you need your paper completed in 3 hours, we will deliver it in that time. All you need to do is indicate your deadline in our custom order page here. Alternatively, if you are sending us your instructions via email, please be sure to indicate your deadline.
Will it be completely original? I don't want to be caught in a case of Academic Integrity Violation.

We are as paranoid as you are. Maybe even more! And we understand that the greatest sin you can commit in your academic journey is plagiarizing your academic work. To that end, we have made sure that we check and double-check our papers using high quality plagiarism detection tools such as SafeAssign and Turnitin before submitting the paper to you.

Who is my writer? Is he/she a native English Speaker?

All our writers are native English Speakers. That is not to say that ESL writers are not good, we just prefer hiring native writers because we want the very best people working on your paper. This might mean paying a little bit more for your paper as opposed to when you pay a foreign company whose writers are non-native English Speakers.

What if I need revisions? Will your charge additional for this?

Of course not! If you do happen to require a revision on your paper, our team will handle it for you free of charge. Matter of fact, we won’t rest till you are happy with your paper. So, ask for as many revisions as you need, it’s completely FREE!

Will you give me my money back if I don't like my paper?

We have very few instances where we delivered a paper that a client didn’t fall in love with. But if it so happens that you don’t like your paper for any reason whatsoever, we’ll refund your money back no questions asked.

I have more assignments after this, can you help me with those too?

Of course! And what’s even better is that we can reserve a writer permanently to work on your entire class. This comes in handy for projects which build up on each other and where you need just one writer, one writing style.

I got my order information wrong, can I change that?

Yes you can. Just reach out to our support team via email (support@essaynook.com) or live chat here and they’ll help you change the instructions.

Can I place an order via email instead of going through the order page?

Yes you can. Email Anna at anna@essaynook.com, she’s in charge of our sales team. Alternatively, you can talk to our Live Chat team here and request to speak to Anna.
