Research study: how to retain females in law enforcement and why females continue to leave the profession
After viewing the videos by Dr. Creswell and reading the information in the text, reflect on how could you use a mixed methods approach to your own research study. Your reflection should address the following prompts/questions:
Which of the three basic designs: Convergent, Explanatory Sequential, or Exploratory Sequential would work best for you and why?
Would a mixed-methods approach increase the potential validity or reliability of the research? Why or why not?
Indicate why the Christian scholar should be concerned with the validity of his/her research.
Give a brief description of the qualitative and quantitative approaches you would use in a mixed-methods design and explain how these two approaches could complement each other.
The video includes some advanced mixed methods designs also, but I don’t expect you to go that far at this point.
Your paper should be 3-5 pages in length and may or may not include a diagram of the design.
Requirements:
-Overall mixed-methods design is realistic and creative. The qualitative and quantitative approaches are complementary and would add to the validity of the study.
-Assignment requirements are informed by a Christian perspective that clearly addresses the ethical and moral value obligations of scholarly and applied public research.
-Clear, concise and well written with flawless spelling/grammar and flawless formatting (APA).
